Delete Your Account
You can delete your Munch account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it inside the app, how to request deletion without the app, exactly what gets deleted, and the limited data we are required to keep. This is a permanent deletion, not a pause or deactivation.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Munch and sign in.
- Go to Settings from your profile.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
Your account is deleted right away. This is not the same as logging out — logging out only signs you off and keeps your account.
Option 2 — Delete from the web (no app needed)
If you can’t open the app, use our web deletion form. You’ll need the email and password for your Munch account. Enter them, complete the security check, and your account is deleted — no reinstalling and no signing back in.
If you’ve forgotten your password or can’t use the form, email privacy@munchkink.app from the email address on your Munch account, with the subject line “Delete my Munch account”. We will verify the account is yours and delete it for you.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your profile — you can no longer sign in or restore it
- Your photos and the original files
- Your posts, comments, and messages
- Your matches, connections, and interests
- Your location and device identifiers
- Your login sessions, and your email is released
What we keep, and for how long
We keep a limited amount of data only where the law requires it or to keep the service safe. This is kept in a restricted form, for these purposes alone, and is not used to rebuild your profile:
- A record that a banned account existed, if your account was removed for breaking our rules — so the same person cannot immediately return. Kept for fraud and abuse prevention.
- Transaction records, where we are required to keep them for tax and accounting compliance.
- Any material we are legally required to retain under child safety laws and reporting obligations (see our Child Safety Standards).
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. Cancel it separately in your Google Play or Apple App Store account settings, or it will keep renewing.
